For third consecutive year a group of first year university students has the extraordinary opportunity offered by the OneManLiving project of Bovisa - Milan Politecnico University of designing and building a minimal size home in real dimension.
The OneManLiving prototype will be realised during a workshop at Bovisa - Milan Politecnico University, from 14th until 18th June, with the collaboration of Alcea, Atmosfera 1999, and Ceresio Arredamenti companies, with sponsorship of ADI, Industrial Design Association – Lombardy delegation. The students will mount in parallel an exhibition of their works by using the same metallic profiles, and other ecological or recycled materials, used for building their prototypes.
Alcea collaboration with the young students generation of Milan Politecnico University has been pleasant, stimulating, and generating a sound curiosity since several years.
This year use of pallets and steel profiles has made some of our technical and commercial staff curious. Within Alcea group of companies there is also WIP Coatings company, working with its two ICSAM and ROVEA divisions in wood coatings, particularly in Italy, France and all Eastern European countries. Alcea follows as well the exhibition setting up market, where its customers are mounting stands differing not too much from what conceived by Politecnico University young students.
Either directly or by means of its 500 dealers specialised in production of small quantities of paint by means of four tinting systems, Smaltosistem®, Geocolor®, Legnomix®, and Geomix®, Alcea is engaged in spreading use of colour in architecture (producing as well paints for Coil Coatings and aluminium and steel panels), in industry of iron, wood, and plastic, in anticorrosion, and in infrastructural works.
Also aluminium profiles and aluminium coils are an important sector for Alcea group paints, which with Pulverit company is the largest national manufacturer of thermosetting powder coatings used for these articles.
The opening will take place on Friday 18th June, at 13.00 o'clock, in front of Bovisa - Milan Politecnico University De Carli lecture hall porch, in Durando No. 10 street.
The exhibition will continue until 2nd July and may be visited during university opening hours.
